Elect
Kevin Bailey
A Representative
NOT a Developer

Thank you for visiting my web site.

You are taking the time to research the candidates and issues which shows that you are concerned with gathering the facts to help you make an informed decision with regard to your vote for Georgia's House District 22. I've included information here on me and my positions, and you can always contact me to ask more questions if you have them.

However, there is some other information that you may feel is important in making your decision that is a little more difficult to find.

My opponent, Sean Jerguson, is the owner of Jerguson Construction Company, but he has been very quiet on this fact and on his campaign web site he has been very careful to keep this information hidden from view.

This raises a number of questions:

Is he embarrassed of his work, or is he just trying to keep the voters of our district in the dark when it comes to where his vested interests lie?

Do you think your interests will be best served by someone whose livelihood could quite likely be enhanced by legislation that creates more unbridled building and development in Georgia and Cherokee County?

When a question comes up that pits the interests of your family and your neighborhood against the potential financial benefits of my opponent's construction company, who do you think will win out?

Do we really need another politician in the state house representing another special interest group like the building and development industry?

If you give me your vote for House District 22, I promise that your interests will be served in Georgia's state house. You will know that there will be a voice in the capitol for sensible growth in our area.

Elect me, Kevin Bailey to House District 22 and you can trust that the interests of Georgia's citizens, homeowners, and families will not be sold out to the narrow special interests of the building and development industries.

Thank you for your consideration and your vote.

Kevin Bailey

Elect Kevin Bailey - A representative, not a developer.

Kevin's pledge to you:

I will work to control sprawl, which effects our quality of life in many areas including education, traffic, and zoning issues.

I will fight for sensible growth to ensure our infrastructure of roads, schools, police and fire services keep pace with our needs. Poor leadership in the past has allowed unbridled sprawl by builders and developers to dramatically outpace our infrastructure and safety services putting all residents at greater risk. This has also driven up "stealth taxes" to the costs of home ownership in the form of higher fire insurance rates, as just one example.

I will use my experience as a working businessman to bring better jobs to the district, which will help to reduce traffic, increase the tax base, and reduce the tax burden on the average homeowner.

I will work to protect the natural resources and green space for the citizens of the county while adding much needed parks and playgrounds throughout the county.

I will use my experience as a working businessman to be fiscally responsible with taxpayers' dollars and work within budgets.

I will ensure that we provide local firefighters and police the equipment and tools they need to do their jobs and meet standards. (See News update)
